Dance Routine Rehearsal

Yesterday, Jazzi Blackborow came to school in order to teach us and the band a dance routine that we could use on the shoot and for the video. In our lesson before lunch we went up to the Seward Studio as a group and Jazzi began to teach us the chorus, we did this so that as a group we would all have some idea of the routine as Jazzi will no be there on our actual shoot. This proved really useful as we got a feel of the space we would be using, we played around with lighting and went through different moves and ideas

At lunchtime we went in the media block and all band members arrived on time so we were able to get on. This was the first time the band had met as a group so Jazzi just got them working as a group and began teaching them the first part of the dance routine which went really well and to much relief all band members had some sort of rhytum.

After school we had booked the Seward Studio so at 3.45 we went up there along with Jazzi and the band and picked up from what we had been doing at lunch. We took lots of pictures, videos, Hugh worked with the band and carried on dancing. Jess and I worked on music, helping Jazzi with new moves, filming and generally organised and watched the routine. Tom worked on lighting and filming and this worked well as we all had set jobs and we worked well as a team

The whole day was a success we managed to work out a dance for pretty much the whole thing and went through small moves we could put in during the shoot. We had a lot of fun, it was hard work and we stayed till late at school but we got a lot done and we are going to arrange lunctimes that we can call the band in just to keep going over it.
